A tragic incident at the Bel Air Parking Garage in Harford County, Maryland, has claimed the life of a 20-year-old man. Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, which took place early Monday, February 3, 2025.
The deceased has been unofficially identified as Luke Fletcher.
As the police investigation continues, Harford County Public Schools (HCPS) has issued an advisory regarding parking restrictions in the area. The Bel Air Town Garage, also known as the A. A. Roberty Building parking facility, will remain closed until further notice.
In a statement, HCPS announced: “Due to a police investigation in the area, parking at the Bel Air Town Garage is NOT available for those working in or needing to visit Central Office, also known as the A. A. Roberty Building, today, Monday, February 3, 2025.”
The advisory also encouraged Central Office employees to work remotely whenever possible. “Employees who can work remotely are encouraged to do so. Those who must access Central Office today will need to make alternative parking arrangements.”
Additionally, individuals with scheduled appointments at the Central Office have been asked to confirm staff availability before arriving. “If you have an appointment at Central Office today, please contact that office BEFORE your scheduled time to confirm whether staff will be available,” the statement added.
