M50 suicide – Death: Undisclosed Person Died by Suicide by Jumping Off the Black Glen Bridge on M50

Law enforcement officials are investigating after an individual committed suicide by jumping off the Black Glen Bridge, which crosses the M50 motorway. Authorities were alerted in the early hours of the morning after reports of a suspicious situation in the area.

The M50 southbound has fully reopened following an earlier incident that caused significant delays. Local diversions were in place from Junction 12 as emergency services attended the scene.

Shortly after 2pm, all diversions were removed and the road has reopened.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

The Black Glen Bridge, a well-known spot for commuters, is located near the junction of the M50, one of the busiest motorways in the region. Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen anything unusual in the area to come forward.
