Kyle Vaver Obituary, Shooting: Pickerington Man Identified as Victim Shoots Dead at a New Albany Warehouse on Tuesday night.
The Licking County Coroner’s Office identified the first person who died in a shooting at a New Albany warehouse Tuesday night.
The coroner confirmed Thursday afternoon that 38-year-old Kyle Vaver of Pickerington died in the shooting.
A second victim who was hospitalized after the shooting died Wednesday evening.
The Franklin County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 30-year-old Shakhar Chapagai, who was pronounced dead at Mount Carmel East at 8:33 p.m. Wednesday.
In an update Thursday, officials said only one person remains hospitalized.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Bruce Reginald Foster III, appeared in court Thursday afternoon and is being held on a $20 million bond.
According to a warrant filed in Licking County Court of Common Pleas, Foster is charged with aggravated murder in the shooting at KDC/One. His next court hearing is scheduled for Feb. 13.
Around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrived at the facility on Smiths Mill Road North on a report of an active shooter situation. Police found six people who were shot.
Vaver was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the shooting victims were all employees.
