Investigators report that the crash occurred when the man, traveling west on KY 90, attempted to pass another vehicle. During the maneuver, his car collided head-on with an oncoming pickup truck carrying two adults and two children. Despite the best efforts of first responders, the driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner.
